Google Image Search for ‘Surly Steamroller’
August 18th, 2006
Dudes, I was tooling around the web looking for ideas for a new setup for my favorite bikey, so I did a Google Image search for Surly Steamroller and 3 of the images on the first page were mine, woo hoo! I even got the #4 position.

Two of them were from my Clean Your Bike! post. The other is from my flickr photos.
I’m sure this post will quickly become outdated during the next Google shuffle (kind of like the beloved truffle shuffle) but for the time-being, I’m stoked!

Hey sal! Nice. James was really digging your clean your bike post. It was pretty sweet. Anyway, I also want to know about what is going on with burt in your flickr photos and if that is your cubicle being pimped out. Are you doing the inside is outside or tropical island theme…looks like a nice place to sit. Just under actually sitting where the pics were taken.

That’s sweet!
You know I like to race little cars. OK, more than like, I am addicted. So I decided to put together a blog. Granted it’s only like a month old but it’s probably one of 5 Mini-Z blogs total. When I search for Mini-Z blog…I don’t see my young little site. Maybe I need a larger following.

Awesome James, I’ll hit you up with a personal email with a brain dump of everything I know about SEO, Search Engine Optimization. Can’t wait to check out your new site!

It’s pretty cool when you start seeing your own stuff. I’m now the top result for my name, and apparantly I’m one of the experts on javascript object namespacing. (yay?)

Hey,
Just found your site! Great stuff. It’s good to see another web designer/bike freak on the web!
I’m working on my first fixie at the moment…in my “spare time”. It’s an old Schwinn…not a Surly be any stretch. Seems good old track bikes are hard to come by here in the midwest.
Anyway, just wanted to hola, and I’ve found a new blog to check out!

is “#4 position” a euphemism for something?

Funny you mention that, I am building a new fixed gear and that is exactly how I stumbled upon your site. I think you are very thoughtful teaching people how to clean their bikes.
