New York Post Special Edition
They done it again. A fake “special edition” of the New York Post was distributed by thousands of volunteers all over New York City this morning. The paper, created by The Yes Men, is a brilliant ploy to capture the imagination of every day people in a shocking “what if” cascade of scenarios related to climate change. But amazingly, this spoof has been thoroughly fact-checked, and despite its typical New York Post sensationalist veneer, contains entirely factual data on climate change.
Another superb act of hijinks, this one timed perfectly — on the eve of the UN Summit to be held in NYC. If you missed it last time, the Yes Men also produced a fake special edition of the New York Times, where the top story read, “Iraq War Ends.”
