I've stopped bothering to read the disgusting crap and I risk possibly missing a falsely mis-identified comment, but I feel physically ill after reading some of the crud; so I stopped reading it... I just "delete all" regularly now. About twice a day spam gets through akismet and sits in my moderation queue. That's bad enough. I have exactly the same problem.
